Using QT 5.9.2 & QTCreator I compiled in release mode today (XCode-Clang 64bit) then ran 'macdeployqt' from the command line to produce a *.dmg. It opened and ran fine on another OSX Sierra machine. However two 'El Capitan' computers can not mount the .dmg. During the 'verifying' process an error is thrown: 'No Mountable File Systems'.
I have a wrapper script to run 'macdeployqt' so I know the dmg and zip are being packaged exactly as they have been for months. This worked just fine the week before Christmas. My computer updated to Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.2 last Friday January 5th.
Are there any known new backwards-compatibility issues running 'macdeployqt' on High Sierra possibly causing the files to fail on El Capitan (10.11.6)? Has anyone else experienced this or can someone else please try to recreate it?

Sorry.
I've in the past I've always used Windows. My laptop broke so I'm using a friends old PowerPC. I cant remember where I downloaded it but im positive its Mandriva 2010 One, and KDE. I downloaded it to the Mac and burned it to a CD-R using the same computer. Because I've always used Windows I'm used to opening things by double clicking.
'I'm not even sure there is a Mac version of Mandriva available'
When I was looking at the different distros I thought I read somewhere that Mandriva 2010 would work on a Mac. My problems is I want to be able to use a decent internet browser. But because this computer is a PowerPC Apple wont upgrade it, which in turn means Firefox wont work. I would like to switch over to Linux but I guess that might not be possible. Do you know of any forms of Linux that are (old) Mac compatible?
I've spent some time trying to look up answers to dumb questions and it really has not gone to well. Is there any place that will explain to me how I boot from the disk?
Thank you.
